How to make it

  • Brown the beef mince and onion in a dash of oil in a hot frying pan. This is best done in two batches.
  • Add the taco seasoning mix, tomatoes and water. Stir, cover and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes.
  • Mash the flesh of the avocado with the sour cream and lime juice and season well with salt.
  • To serve, pile the mince into a serving bowl and garnish with chopped tomato and red onion. Spoon the avocado cream into serving bowls and garnish with lime rind. Accompany with your favourite nachos and sour cream if wished.
