Ingredients
  • Meatballs:
  • 600 g beef mince
  • 2 ml fine gloves
  • 2 ml pepper
  • 6 ml salt
  • 10 ml origanum
  • 40 ml bisto (gravy powder)
  • cold water
  • 2 slices thick, white bread
  • 100 ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 ml cake flour
  • Sauce:
  • 2 blocks of chicken stock
  • 600 ml pineapple juice
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 100 ml chopped greenpepper
  • 75 ml oil
  • 200 ml pieces of pineapple
  • 25 ml maizena or cake flour
  • 50 ml vinegar
  • 50 ml brown sugar
  • 10 ml sojasauce
  • 2 ml mixed spice

Directions
  1. Meatballs:
  2. Mix everything together just before the origanum.
  3. Mix the bisto and water into the above.
  4. Put the bread into the milk until softened.
  5. Mix in with the above.
  6. Mix in the eggs.
  7. Mix in the flour.
  8. Form balls.
  9. Fry in a pan until done.
  10. Sauce:
  11. Dissolve the stock in the juice.
  12. Saute onion and pepper in the oil.
  13. Mix in the pineapple juice mixture and pieces.
  14. Mix the maizena, vinegar, sugar, sojasauce and spices.
  15. Gradually mix into the rest.
  16. Leave to lightly boil for 15 minutes.
  17. Put the meatballs into the sauce.
  18. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  19. Serve.
