There's nothing better than having an easy eggnog recipe for your gathering, it's the way a homemade eggnog recipe says 'welcome' to your guests. And the honey makes it soft and relaxing (the brandy helps with the relaxing too)

Ingredients
  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 1 cup honey
  • 3 quarts whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups whipping cream, whipped
  • 4 cups (32 ounces) brandy or
  • 3 cups brandy and 1 cup apricot brandy
  • Nutmeg
  • Ice mold

Directions
  1. Use only fresh, refrigerated, Grade A eggs with clean, uncracked shells when preparing the Honey Brandy Eggnog recipe, or any eggnog recipe. Chill all ingredients well before mixing.
  2. Separate the egg whites and yolks.
  3. Combine the yolks and honey. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl or punch bowl, beat the egg whites to soft peaks.
  5. Stir in the yolk mixture.
  6. Add the milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and brandy. Chill.
  7. Transfer to a punch bowl, if you haven't already. Just before serving, stir in the whipped cream. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  8. Float an ice mold or pack ice around the punch bowl

I am definitely an eggnog lover - and your recipe sounds excellent. I'm thinking of all the desserts, cookies, cheesecakes that call for eggnog...this rich recipe would be perfect for those - thank you for sharing it!


I love eggnog and think most recipes are so hard for eggnog, but this one sounds like something I might be able to do!! What type of ice mold do you suggest? Doesn't that cause the eggnog to get watery?? Thanks for posting!!


I use a ring mold but if you don't want it to get watery I would make the mold with less water and just bring it out to present it then as soon as your done serving, put it in the fridge and remove the mold.
