Irish Bannock

                    - 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
 - 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
 - 2 tbsp white sugar shopping list
 - 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
 - 2 tbsp butter shopping list
 - 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
 - 1/2 cup dried currants shopping list
 - 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
 
How to make it 
                    - Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
 - Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut butter into the mixture with a pastry cutter. Then, add buttermilk until dough becomes soft. Now, mix in the currants.
 - Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth. Make the dough into a 7 inch round then place on a lightly oiled cookie sheet or cake pan. Next, cut 1/2 inch deep cross side to side and score with cross 1/2 inch deep on the top.
 - Bake for 40 minutes, and serve.
