How to make it

  • Scald milk and lard in quart dish.
  • Fill dish with cold water.
  • Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
  • Mix all together and let rise overnight.
  • Cut down and let rise again.
  • Cut down again and shape into loaves.
  • Let rise in pans until double its size and bake in 350 oven for one hour.
