Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 4 tbsp shortening
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions
  1. mix flour, baking powder, soda and salt
  2. set this mixture aside
  3. beat shorteing and 1 cup sugar, until fluffy
  4. add eggs one at a timt
  5. beat in flour mixture alternately with sour milk
  6. stir in vanilla
  7. pour 1/2 batter into greased loaf pan
  8. combine 2 tbsp sugar with cinnamon.
  9. sprinkle 3/4 of this mixture over batter.
  10. add rest of batter
  11. sprinkle with rest of the cinnamon
  12. bake at 425 degrees for 50 minutes
