St Pauls Fried Oysters Recipe
An old childhood favorite. Goes great with potato salad, cole slaw, any cold salad or french fries

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs shelled oysters medium sized
  • 3eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk (or buttermilk if preferred)
  • flour (of choice)
  • breadcrumbs
  • spices ( I use salt pepper and paprika)
  • vegetable oil

Directions
  1. don't rinse the oysters, leave them in their liquid
  2. mix eggs and milk
  3. line up three bowls in this order: flour ,egg mix, breadcrumbs
  4. heat up oil in pan with enough for oysters to float
  5. dip oysters in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs
  6. fry over medium-high heat until golden and crispy
  7. serve with favorite sauce
