Spinach And Artichoke Dip Recipe

Ingredients

10 oz. package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained

14 oz. can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

1 med. onion, chopped

1 T. fresh garlic, minced

1/2 c. mayonnaise

3/4 c. fresh Parmesan cheese

1 c. cheddar cheese, grated

2 c. Monterey Jack cheese, grated

2 8 oz. packages of cream cheese

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 can mushrooms

11/2 c. heavy cream

1/4 c. slivered almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a large deep baking dish. Mix all ingredients (except almonds) well. Place in baking dish and bake for approximately 35 - 45 minutes. Add the slivered almonds to the top of the dip for the last 15 minutes. Serve with bread, tortillas, crackers, or veggies.

This sounds similar one I threw together without a specific recipe, (combining a few to try and get what I wanted), but needed something...the heavy cream is what it needed! So glad you posted!! I will try it this way this weekend! Thanks so much!! (A little chopped tomato on top right before serving is good, too!). Never thought about freezing it, either! Great idea! : )

It is worth the extra ingredients :) You can tailor it to fit your own tastes also. Different cheeses, more garlic, etc. I hope you like it.
