- COOKIES:::: shopping list
- 1 cup butter softened (DO NOT USE margarine) shopping list
- 1 egg yolk shopping list
- 1/2 cup cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2 cup Powered sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- VANILLA FROSTING:::: shopping list
- 1cup powered sugar shopping list
- 2 teaspoons butter or margarine softened shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 2 -3 teaspoons milk shopping list
- 2 candy canes, about 6 inches long, finely crushed shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl, beat 1 cup butter and egg yolk with electric mixer on a medium speed. Or you can mix with a spoon. stir in flour, cornstarch, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, the cocoa and the salt. Cover refrigerate about 1 hour or until firm.
- Heat oven to 375*F. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. on a ungreased cookie sheet. Place balls 2 inches apart
- Bake 10-12 mins or until set but not brown. Remove from cookie sheet and let cool completely for about 30mins
- In a small bowl, mix all frosting ingredients except candy canes. Mix with spoon until smooth and spreadable Frost cookies then sprinkle with candy cane
