GF Bisquit Mix

- 4 cups plus 3 tablespoons featherlight mix shopping list
- 3 tablespoons baking powder shopping list
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda shopping list
- 2 1/2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup dry buttermilk powder shopping list
- 3 tablespoons egg replacer shopping list
- 1 cup less 1 tablespoon shortening shopping list
How to make it
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
- With a pastry blender, cut in the shortening until no lumps appear.
- For Bisquits: preheat oven to 400. To 1 1/4 cup mix, add 1 egg (or 1/4 cup liquid egg replacer) beaten with 1/4 cup water.
- handle gently and roll out on rice floured board.
- cut into bisquits andbake for 12-15 minutes.
- For Pot Pies and Stews:
- To 1 1/4 cups mix, add 1 egg (or 1/4 cup liquid egg replacer) beaten with 1/3 cup water.
- Stir to moisten.
- Drop by spoonful onto hot stews or pot pie.
- Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes
