How to make it

  • For batter: In medium mixing bowl stir together egg and ice water. Add flour all at once. Add enough milk or beer to make smooth. Beat with wire whisk until smooth.
  • Set aside.
  • In heavy saucepan, heat 2 inches of oil or shortening to 375 degrees F.
  • Dip veggies in batter. Fry 2-3 minutes or until brown.
  • Be very careful!!!

    Good and easy. I used zucchini and kept it warm in oven. There was leftover batter so I added shredded romano/parmesan cheese and made fritters. They were yummy, too.
