How to make it

  • When the sponge cake has cooled down we cut into two pieces and wet it with the citrus syrup (or any other syrup, see also spoon sweets) which we have diluted with a little water or milk. If we like we can also make syrup by ourselves and keep it in the fridge for similar use.
  • After cutting cake, place again in the string form and Insert cream in the middle.
  • Put some cherries on cream (without syrup) place the other sponge cake on top and let it cool down.
  • When it has cooled remove string form and spread whipping cream with a knife.
  • Decorate as you like grating some chocolate, or melting chocolate on top, adding spoon fruit on top such as cherries, etc.
