Sloppy Joes Recipe
A very easy Weight Watchers version of Sloppy Joes.

Ingredients
  • 680 grams ground turkey breast
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 236 ml can, no salt added, tomato sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 1/2 tsp low-salt Worcestire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp dark brown sugar

Directions
  1. Coat a non-stick skillet with cooking spray.
  2. Place over medium high heat until hot.
  3. Add turkey breast, onion, and bell pepper.
  4. Cook until turkey is browned, stirring to crumble.
  5. Drain in a colander and set aside.
  6. Wipe drippings from skillet with a paper towel.
  7. Return turkey to skillet, add tomato sauce and the rest of the ingredients.
  8. Cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until slightly thick.
  9. Makes 5 servings

Alterations


I added a tablespoon of molasses and a 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne for a kick of flavor.
