Grilled Rainbow Trout Recipe
This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Harrelson Estate in Detroit, Michigan in 1984. Source: Washington Star 1972.

Ingredients
  • 2 trout ready to cook
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes

Directions
  1. Make slits on top of both sides of trout.
  2. Place fish in baking dish.
  3. Combine lemon juice, oil, onion powder, salt, garlic powder and pepper then mix well.
  4. Stir in parsley flakes and pour mixture over fish.
  5. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour turning once.
  6. Cook fish on greased grill over hot charcoal.
  7. Reserve marinade.
  8. Grill fish 10 minutes until fish flakes with fork turning once and brushing with marinade.
