How to make it

  • Line 2 large cookie sheets with waxed paper.
  • In the top of a double boiler, combine the marshmallows, butter, vanilla and food coloring. Heat over boiling water, stirring frequently until marshmallows are melted.
  • Remove from heat and gradually stir in the cornflakes.
  • Drop rounded, greased spoonfuls of marshmallow mixture onto cookie sheets. Shape into 2 inch wreaths. Decorate with red candies.
  • Store between layers of waxed paper in the refrigerator
  • Makes about 2 1/2 dozen
