Ingredients

1 10 ounce package frozen sliced sweetened strawberries, thoroughly defrosted with their syrup

1 1/2 cups sour cream

pinch of salt

confectioner's sugar (optional)

Directions

Place the strawberries and their syrup in a bowl and crush the berries slightly with the back of a large spoon.

Add the sour cream and salt, and stir until the ingredients are thoroughly blended.

Taste for sweetness and add up to 1 tbsp. of confectioners' sugar if desired.

Cover bowl and refrigerate the dressing for at least 1 hour before serving.

For a smoother texture, process in blender or food processor before chilling.
