Cheesy Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

8 oz. small curd cottage cheese

8 oz. shredded mild Cheddar cheese

6 slices packaged American cheese

8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese

16-oz. package lasagna noodles

16-oz. jar pre-cooked spaghetti sauce with meat

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Lightly salt a large pot of water and bring to boil. Add the lasagna noodles and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until the pasta is “al dente”. Drain the pasta and rinse with cold water.

Place cooked lasagna noodles on the bottom of a 9x13 inch casserole dish, then spread ¼ cup of the spaghetti sauce on top. Then add another layer of noodles and top with cottage cheese and ¼ cup spaghetti sauce. Keep adding layers, alternating cheese with each layer, but make sure you have enough spaghetti sauce to cover the top of the lasagna (this will prevent hardening of the pasta). Top dish with grated parmesan cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is thoroughly melted and filling is heated through (approximately 20-25 minutes). Eat and enjoy!

You need more than one jar of sauce. It takes about one jar for each layer, so you need two if you just want to do the top and bottom layer, but if you wanted to have sauce on each layer [though you will need a very tall dish for this] do the math or get a jar for each layer you want. The dish is in the oven right now, but ill get back to you on how it tastes. : D
