Stir Fried Asparagus With Ginger Garlic And Basil Recipe
What a great twist on asparagus. This one is packed with wonderful spices of herbs, sauces and vegetables. Can't go wrong with this delight.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 1 tablespoon chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1-1/2 pounds fresh asparagus ends snapped and cut into small pieces
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup minced fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped scallions
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar

Directions
  1. Combine soy sauce, sherry and broth then set aside.
  2. Place a large skillet over high heat for 4 minutes.
  3. Add 2 teaspoons canola oil and heat for 1 minute then add the asparagus and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Clear the center of the pan then add then garlic, ginger and remaining oil then sauté for 10 seconds.
  5. Remove pan from heat and stir the ingredients to combine.
  6. Place pan back on heat then stir in the soy sauce mixture and cook for 30 seconds.
  7. Add basil, scallions and sugar.
  8. Cook and stir 30 seconds longer.
