How to make it

  • In a Dutch oven, brown meat; drain fat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until onion is translucent. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer at least 30 minutes - better if cooked longer.
  • If you use blended chili powder (which already contains cumin and oregano), you may need to decrease the amount of the other spices.

I made some (very similar) chili recently but I also included chopped bell pepper and chopped celery ( the rest of "the Trinity")... Caju-Mex style... turned out very good and I thought of y'all.
p.s. has some as "Frito Pie", and that was particularly good.
    Love... dad

Sounds good, must give that a try, I have lots of good chili recipes that I've made but your right it's all in the correct seasonings, looks like you have them down pat. Great post.
