- 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef (chili ground is best) shopping list
- 1 lb. pork sausage shopping list
- 1 sm. onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1 8-oz can tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 15 oz. can crushed tomatoes shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1 cup canned refried beans shopping list
- 1 can ranch-style beans (or pinto beans) shopping list
- 4 tbsp. ground ancho chile powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. cumin shopping list
- 1 tsp. oregano shopping list
- 1 tsp. paprika shopping list
- dash cayenne pepper, to taste shopping list
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
How to make it
- In a Dutch oven, brown meat; drain fat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until onion is translucent. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer at least 30 minutes - better if cooked longer.
- If you use blended chili powder (which already contains cumin and oregano), you may need to decrease the amount of the other spices.

Sounds good, must give that a try, I have lots of good chili recipes that I've made but your right it's all in the correct seasonings, looks like you have them down pat. Great post.
