This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Lindgren Estate in Allen, Texas in 1994.

Ingredients
  • 32 ounces great northern beans
  • 1/2 can cola
  • 1/4 cup white onion diced
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 6 strips bacon

Directions
  1. Sauté 2 strips bacon with onion and green pepper until lightly browned.
  2. Drain off fat then stir in all other ingredients except for remaining bacon.
  3. Bring to a boil then pour into a greased casserole dish.
  4. Place remaining bacon strips on top and bake at 325 for 50 minutes.
