How to make it

  • Drain and thoroughly rinse jalapenos in cold water.
  • Drain in a collandar several times and place jalapenos in a glass container and cover with as much sugar as it will hold.
  • Let sit for several day (up to a week) or until sugar turns to syrup.
  • Flip daily to mix syrup and peppers (add more sugar if needed).
  • Add food coloring drops if seasonal look is desired.
