this is my sister in laws recipe. she had a cafe for years and this was a favorite

Ingredients
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 large onions
  • rump roast
  • 1/2 tsp onion salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt

Directions
  1. cook roast and onions in water
  2. let stand overnight-separate and remove fat
  3. bring broth to a boil and add the rest of the ingredients
  4. slice beef very thinly
  5. add beef to juice, simmer 30 minutes
  6. serve on buns
