This pie has a few of my own twist which makes it a real american apple pie!! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do, I love the way it makes my home smell - no need for candles when your baking this pie!! Healthy eating :)

Ingredients
  • CRUST:
  • Two pre-made thawed 9" crust in foil pans
  • FILLING:
  • 4-5 Large Apples Corded (Sliced into 16ths)
  • 1/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1.5 to 2 Teaspoons ApplePie Spice (PER YOUR TASTE)
  • 1/2 Stick Butter
  • 4 Mini Boxes Of Raisins
  • 1/4 to 1/2 Sliced Almonds (Or Small Walnut Pieces)
  • 1 Small Egg White
  • 1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar Mixed With 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar (SET TO SIDE)

Directions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. In large bowl combined dry ingredients(brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, spices, raisins & almonds)
  3. In separate bowl toss apple slices with lemon juice (let stand about 15 minutes)
  4. Next pour apples into dry ingredients / toss well until all is coated
  5. Pour mixture into thawed pie crust / take butter & place dabs through out mixture
  6. Take 2nd pie crust with edges removed / turn upside down onto crust filled with apple mixture / remove top foil pan
  7. Press 2nd pie crust against edges of first pie crust / cut 4 small slits near center outwards
  8. Beat egg white until foamy / brush over crust / sprinkle with the granulated + brown sugar mixture
  9. Cover edges of crust with loss fitting foil to prevent burning / remove foil 1/2 way through cooking time
  10. Total cook time may vary 45 - 60 minutes / until filling is bubbly & crust is golden brown
