Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh or frozen cranberries.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar OR brown sugar OR Splenda
  • 1 cup coarsly chopped or broken walnut pieces
  • 2 cans (11 oz each) mandarin orange segments, drained
  • 2 medium to large tart crisp apples (Granny Smith or Pippins work well), cored peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Directions
  1. Heat the cranberries, water and sugar over medium heat until berries are mostly popped.
  2. Add the apples, walnuts and orange segments.
  3. Stir to mix completely.
  4. Remove from heat and cover. Let stand until cooled to room temperature.
  5. Refrigerate a couple of hours, or overnight.

Oh boy does this sound delicious. I think it would be great for me but I'd love to try it for my church group as well & when I do, will definitely tell you how it turns out!
