A nice chicken dish with a bit of an Asian flair.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups of cooked chicken ( cooked in water) save stock
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup bamboo shoots
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts
  • 2 cups of celery
  • 2 Tbs. cornstarch
  • 1tsp. salt
  • 2 cups of chicken stock

Directions
  1. Saute first 5 ingedients together for 5 min.
  2. Combine salt , cornstarch , with 2 cups of chicken stock.
  3. Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens.
  4. Boil 1 minute.
  5. Mix with sauteed ingredients and stir.
  6. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve over rice and garnish with slivered almonds
