How to make it

  • Meat preparation:
  • pound shallots,garlic and tumeric to a smooth paste.
  • rub all paste mixture into the beef.sprinkle the coriander and cumin powder over the beef mix thoroughly.marinate beef for 1hour.
  • thread seasoned meat on to metal skewers,grill over charcoal fire or under hot grill.baste with oil and water mixtures to keep beef moist.
  • Peanut sauce:
  • pound shallots,lemon grass,dried chillies&galangal to a fine paste.
  • heat oil in wok and fry pounded paste till fragrant and oil seeps through the paste.
  • add 900ml water&pounded ground peanut,
  • add sugar,salt,lime juice&tamarind water.
  • boil over low heat till thick.stir constsntly for 1/2 hour,set aside.
  • serve cool peanut souce with barbecued beef and garnish.
