Killer London Broil Recipe
The first time I made this I heard...yuck...I'm not eating that. Those words were eaten when they asked for seconds. This is a family favorite!

Ingredients
  • 1 3-pound trimmed flank steak
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp beef base concentrate
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp coarse ground black pepper
  • 3 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ cup warm water

Directions
  1. Mix warm water with beef base and brown sugar to dissolve. Add all other ingredients together and mix well. Place flank steak in glass baking dish and cover top and bottom with marinade. Cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for 6 hours.
  2. Grill until done and slice against the grain. Serve on hot French bread with sautéed mushrooms and onions. Top with shredded Swiss cheese and place under broiler until melted.
  3. ***grill to your doneness

WHOA!!! I just finished this meal and all I can say is.. This is the best steak sandwich I've ever tasted. It was like the marinade and the swiss was made to go together. The aged Swiss I used complimented the flavor of the steak inredibly. A definite 5!!!
Next time I'm going to top it with sauteed sweet onions.


Just fixed this and it was more than awesome. I can't believe the flavor. My hubby said it was to die for London Broils. I never fix them right. They are always dry. This is a keeper. Thanks.
