Dark Chocolate Fudge With Almonds Recipe
DARK CHOCOLATE FUDGE WITH ALMONDS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ackerman Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1989.

Ingredients
  • 12 ounces dark chocolate
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 3 cups powdered sugar sifted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds

Directions
  1. Melt chocolate as directed on package then beat cream cheese in large bowl with electric mixture until smooth then gradually beat in sugar on low speed until well blended.
  2. Add melted chocolate and vanilla and mix well.
  3. Stir in nuts.
  4. Spread evenly in foiled lined square pan.
  5. Garnish with additional nuts and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  6. Cut into squares and store in refrigerator.
