Ingredients

1/2 a link of Oscar Meyer Turkey Smoked Sausage

1 cup onion, diced

1/2 cup green pepper, diced

1 stalk celery, diced

1 can (15.5 oz.) Goya Blackeye Peas, undrained

1 packet Goya Sazon without Annatto

Hot pepper sauce to taste

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups cooked rice

Directions

In a saucepan on medium, cook bacon or Kielbasa until browned. Drain excess fat.

2. Stir in onion, pepper and celery and cook for 5 minutes until onion is tender.

3. Stir in the blackeye peas, sazon, hot sauce, salt and pepper, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serve over rice.

Yup. This is it. Every ****ing new year's day. Black-eyes peas and cabbage(or greens). My husband used to say, still, no luck and no money. Love this stuff. TY.

Gotta have black eye peas for New Years and turnip greens. Guess supposed to have collards but I just don't care for them.
