Hot Cheese Puffs

- 1 Cup of shredded monterey jack cheese with jalapeno peppers shopping list
- 3 ounces of cream cheese, cubed shopping list
- 1/3 Cup of butter or margarine shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 30 - 1 Inch cubed, French bread (5-6 slices) shopping list
- You will need the following supplies to make this recipe: shopping list
- Mixing Bowl shopping list
- Saucepan shopping list
- Baking Sheet shopping list
- wax paper shopping list
- Pam Spray shopping list
- Freezer Bags (c: serving sizes for bag size) shopping list
- Serving Tray shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the Cheeses and Butter in a saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Beat Egg Whites until stiff and peaks form.
- Fold cheese mixture into the Egg Whites.
- Dip the bread cubes into the cheese mixture. Make sure you scrap off any excess.
- Place the coated bread cubes on a baking sheet, lined with wax paper.
- Freeze until firm (approx. 45-60 minutes).
- Bake at 400 F for 10 - 15 minutes.
- Serve Immediately!
- **Note: To make these up in advance - simply transfer the frozen Cheese Puffs into freezer bags.
- Serving Size:
- 6-8 People - use a Quart sized bag for freezing.
- 12-16 People - use 2 Quart sized bags for freezing.
- 24-32 People - use a Gallon sized bag for freezing.
- Serving Suggestions:
- These are really great for Christmas parties. Serve with Sausage Rolls and Egg Nog for an Appetizer while Christmas dinner is still cooking.
