Bears Fish Stew

- 3 lg. red snapper or flounder (1 1/4 to 1 1/2 lbs.) cut into 2 inch pieces shopping list
- 2 tbsp. olive oil or melted butter shopping list
- 1or 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 lg. onion, sliced shopping list
- 1 green pepper, seeded and cut in 1 inch pieces shopping list
- 1 to 2 zucchini squash (unpeeled), sliced shopping list
- 1 can (15 oz.) whole tomatoes shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. leaf basil shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. leaf oregano shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1/4 c. dry white wine shopping list
- Optional: 1/2 to 3/4 c. fresh mushrooms may be included shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Stir gently, but thoroughly. Cover and cook on High setting for 4 to 6 hours.
- Makes 6 servings (about 3 quarts).
