How to make it

  • Fry Chorizo in skillet as listed above
  • Remove and drain on papertowels
  • Saute chopped onion and garlic in grease from sausage
  • Add sausage and sauce to sauted onion mixture
  • Add chillie powder, salt and pepper
  • In Pie shell layer sausage/sauce mixture, then cheese making 2 layers of each
  • Add top crust, make 4 slits in crust.
  • Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes
  • When pie shell is cooked and cheese is seeping out of the slits, the pie is done
  • Cool for 15 minutes, cut and enjoy.
  • This is also great over pasta instead of in a pie shell
  • I have also added mushrooms, chopped tomatoes, or sliced eggplant
  • Let your imagination go wild.
