How to make it

  • Blend butter, flour, sugar and almonds to crumbly consistency.
  • Add egg yolk, water and almond extract.
  • Form dough into ball and chill 30 minutes.
  • Roll between wax paper to 12" circle and fit into tart pan.
  • Bake 20 minutes at 350 then cool.
  • Cream together pudding and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour into cooled pastry.
  • Top with pie filling then chill for several hours.
  • Serve cold.
