Chocolate Chip Mint Dessert Recipe
This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Paulson Estate in Boise, Idaho in 1994.

Ingredients
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold milk
  • 1 cup milk heated to boiling
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Directions
  1. In blender sprinkle unflavored gelatin over cold milk then let stand 4 minutes.
  2. Add hot milk and process at low speed until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  3. Add cream, chocolate, eggs, sugar and peppermint extract.
  4. Process at high speed until blended.
  5. Add ice cubes one at a time then process at high speed until ice is melted.
  6. Pour into dessert dishes and chill until set.
