Basic Chinese Stir-fry Recipe

Basic Chinese Stir-Fry Recipe
Here is a basic easy way to make some stir-fry. This is a "make your way" meal that is great with my Shrimp Rangoons. Great homemade Chinese flavor without frying your meat!

Ingredients
  • 1 bag of Frozen Stir-Fry Vegetables
  • Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 lb. boneless skinless Chicken, thawed
  • 1-2 Bottles of your choice of sauce: Sweet & Sour, Garlic & Honey (sweet), Peanut Sauce (spicy), etc.
  • Instant white rice

Directions
  1. Cut up chicken into strips. Set aside.
  2. In large skillet, saute olive oil (maybe about 4-6 tbsp) and 2 tbsp garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken and cook through. Remove chicken from pan.
  4. Add vegetables to pan...add more oil if necessary and stir-fry them until hot & crisp. Add chicken mixture and saute together to move the flavor around.
  5. Cook rice according to package.
  6. Add sauce of choice. Heat until sauce is heated through. You may choose minimal sauce or extra sauce depending on how you like your stir-fry.
  7. Spoon your stir-fry onto a bed of rice and enjoy!

No! No! No!

Chinese cooking never uses olive oil. Or frozen vegetables. Or bottled sauces. Or instant rice.

And seldom boneless chicken.
