How to make it

  • Brown sausages and onion; drain. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Let sit 1 hour. Shape in balls, roll in flour, dip in egg and milk mixture (about 4 eggs and a little milk), then roll in bread crumbs. Deep fry until brown, approximately 5 minutes.

    I can't wait to make this next week. Mmmm, my mouth is watering. Remember when I thought sweet sausage meant "SWEET" and I bought maple sausage and completely RUINED the saurkraut balls?? Ugh. We both know I'll never make THAT mistake again!
