Ginger Snaps Recipe
These ginger snaps are really popular during Christmas. They're soft, chewy and don't have too thick of a ginger flavor!

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cloves

Directions
  1. Butter 2 baking sheets.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  3. Cream shortening and sugar.
  4. Add molasses and egg. Mix well.
  5. Combine dry ingredients and add to mix.
  6. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  7. Roll refrigerated dough into balls, and then roll into sugar.
  8. Place on baking sheet
  9. Bake for 9-11 minutes.
  10. let cool on wire rack
