My mom's version of Rice Krispie treats sweetened with melted butterscotch and chocolate chips on top.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Light Karo Corn Syrup
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup Creamy (or Crunchy) Peanut Butter
  • 6 Cups ( 1 box) Rice Krispies Cereal
  • *TOPPING*
  • 1 12oz pkg of Chocolate Chips
  • 1 12oz pkg of Butterscotch Chips

Directions
  1. 1) Butter 13x9x2 pan
  2. 2) In a large sauce pan over med/hi heat, stir together the first 3 ingredients, Stir constantly and boil 3 minutes
  3. 3) Remove from heat, add cereal and toss to coat well 4) Press mixture into pan and cool
  4. *To make Topping*
  5. Pour both the chocolate and the butterscotch chips together into a pan.
  6. Stir over low heat until melted, then pour over the chocolate mixture evenly over the Rice Krispie mixture.
  7. Let cool untill chocolate mixture has hardened.
  8. Cut into squares.
