Andouille In A Security Blanket

- 6 links (six to eight-inch) of andouille sausage shopping list
- 6 sheets of puffed pastry (six to eight inches wide) thawed shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
How to make it
- Carefully roll each link of sausage into thawed sheet of puffed pastry
- Then pinch together ends of pastry so that sausage is completely encased
- Place on baking sheet or sheet pan that has been covered in parchment paper
- In bowl, whisk together egg and water to make thin egg wash
- Brush wash onto outside of each puffed pastry cylinder
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown
- Allow the sausage/pastry to cool, then cut into one inch slices and arrange on large platter
- Serve at room temperature or warm with honey mustard sauce
