Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups of chicken stock
  • 2 cups of light cream
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 4 cups of chopped cooked chicken
  • 1 8oz. can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 2oz. jar of pimento, drained
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • 1 recipe Corn Bread

Directions
  1. Combine butter, flour and salt in large saucepan, stirring until blended.
  2. Add chicken stock, mix well.
  3. Stir in cream and milk.
  4. Add chicken, water chestnuts, pimento, and sherry: mix well.
  5. Cook until heated through, stirring constantly.
  6. Serve over Corn Bread squares.
