A show called "Great Canadian Food" on The Food Network Canada was about a man in Saskatchewan named Merv Brandt. He has started a franchise with the following recipe. The first one opened in Hawaii.

  • 1 large vat of cooking oil
  • 12 rib eye steaks 12 ounces each
  • marinate or use a rub if you wish however not in original recipe

Directions
  1. The fondue is actually a huge vat of cooking oil
  2. put a number of rib eye steaks onto a pitchfork and immerse them in the vat of hot cooking oil.
  3. The steaks are 12 ounces and take about 3 1/2 minutes to cook. The steaks are so tender that you can eat them with a plastic knife and fork.
