How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425.F
  • Spray a 12 inch pizza pan with vegetable cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add onions, water, thyme, and hot pepper flakes. Cover; cook for 4 minutes. Uncover; saute until onions are tender but not brown, about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato sauce and cook, stirring, until slightly thickened, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll dough out to a 10-inch circle. Fit onto prepared pan. Spread sauce over dough. Top with bell pepper, mushrooms, and then mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden, about 20 to 25 minutes.
