Ingredients
  • 6 to 8 slices day old bread
  • 1 small orange
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 pkg (6 oz) chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. grease 9 inch baking dish
  3. remove crusts from bread. crumble slices, enough to measure 3 cups
  4. grate orange, measure 1 tsp orange rind
  5. squeeze orange-need 2 tbsp juice
  6. put milk, honey, juice, rind, crumbs and chocolate into bowl. stir thoroughly
  7. spread mixture in baking pan
  8. bake 30 minutes....cut into bars while warm and remove from pan before cooling to prevent sticking.
