This is the last Chili I made, and it came out great !

Ingredients
  • 1 Tbs olive oil
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 2 cups onions, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cayenne pepper, to taste
  • Chipotle pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 lbs stew meat, cubes
  • 1 lbs lean chop meat
  • 1 Tbs chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • Crushed red pepper, to taste
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 Tbs garlic, chopped
  • 3 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 8 cups beef stock
  • 2 Tbs flour
  • 4 Tbs water
  • 2 cups canned dark red kidney beans
  • 2 cups canned white beans

Directions
  1. In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil and butter. Once hot, add the onions and saute for 3 - 5 minutes. Season with salt, Chipotle and cayenne pepper.
  2. Stir in the stew meat, ground beef, chili powder, cumin, crushed red pepper, and oregano. Brown the meat for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Stir in the garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef stock. Bring the liquid to a boil and reduce to a simmer.
  4. Simmer the liquid, partially covered for 1 1/2 hours. Be sure to stir and skim off the fat occasionally.
  5. Mix the flour and water together. Slowly stir the mixture into the saucepan, add the beans and continue to cook for about 30 minutes. Season again with salt and cayenne pepper if necessary. Serve hot !

  9. Grated Cheddar cheese
  10. Sour Cream
  11. Jalapenos, sliced

I like the idea of white beans in this one.. i usually do a combo of black and kidney...


Who ever made this is a fake and a cheat. Ive been browsing chili recipes all day.. and i already have came across this recipe once today... The author of such was not cheftom or w/e. It was emeril Lagasse, the exact recipe can be found and that following link, It looks like this person simply copied and pasted.
