Bubbas Best Red Sauce

- One pound ground chuck shopping list
- One large 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes, preferably Muir Glen shopping list
- One 15 oz can tomato sauce, preferably Muir Glen shopping list
- One 6 0z. can of tomato paste, preferably Muir Glen shopping list
- One cup of dry white wine shopping list
- One third cup chopped onion shopping list
- Four cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- One teaspoon salt shopping list
- One half teaspon black pepper shopping list
- One quarter teaspoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- Two tablespoons italian/creole seasoning (or just Italian spices) shopping list
- Two bay leaves shopping list
How to make it
- Brown ground beef in large skiillet
- Add in onion and brown with meat
- Add in garlic and brown with meat
- Make a well in meat mixture and fill with tomato paste
- Sear tomato paste, stirring to mix with meat
- Add in spices and sear with meat mixture
- Thin beef tomato/beef mixture with white wine
- Stir in tomato sauce
- Stir in crushed tomatoes
- Let simmer for one hour, adding white wine as needed if sauce gets too thick
- Stir in crushed tomatoes
- Let simmer for one hour, adding white wine as necessary to thin.
