How to make it

  • cut shark into 3/4 inch steaks, 3 inches long
  • mix canola oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, and cajun style mix in a container
  • place shark strips in container to marinade
  • warm tortillas in microwave
  • drain marinade from container and pat shark strips dry with paper towel
  • roll a piece of shark strip in a tortilla and roll tightly and secure with toothpick
  • heat oil in a deep fryer
  • fry taquitos in oil until medium brown about 3-4 minutes
  • drain on paper towels
  • place taquitos in baking dish and cover with cheddar cheese
  • bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted

    Shark is pretty cheap, as far as seafood goes. I just bought it for the 1st time, and this is on my list of things to try. Thanks!
