Beef And Wild Rice Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 Cups boiling water
  • 1 cup uncooked wild rice
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can beef bouillion
  • 1/2 t. each of celery salt, garlic salt, pepper and paprika
  • 1 pound of fresh mushrooms
  • 3 T. butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds

Directions
  1. Pour boiling water over rice, cover and let stand overnight, or cook per directions
  2. Drain rice and place in casserole.
  3. Add soups and seasonings
  4. Mix gently
  5. Slice and saute mushrooms in 2 T. butter
  6. Mix into rice mix
  7. Saute celery and onion in 1 T butter until limp
  8. Mix into rice mix
  9. Brown meat.
  10. Add to rice and mix.
  11. Sprinkle tip with slivered almonds.
  12. Cover and refrigerate upt to 24 hours
  13. Bake covered 1 1/2 hours in 350 degree oven
