Swiss Steak

- 3 pounds chuck steak 1 inch thick shopping list
- 3 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 cup veg oil shopping list
- 1 cup minced onions shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper shopping list
- 1/2 pound mushrooms sliced shopping list
- 2 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1 16 ounce can tomatoes drained shopping list
- 2 tablespoons steak chopped parsley shopping list
How to make it
- Cut steak into 8 pieces.
- Season with 2 teaspoons of salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Heat oil in a skillet
- Saute the onions and green peppers 10 min stirring frequently
- Add mushrooms cook 2 min
- Blend in flour and remaining salt and pepper
- Add tomatoes stirring until mixture boils
- Mix in the steak sauce
- Cut 8 14 inch square of heavy duty aluminum foil.
- Grease the centers and place a piece of steak on each
- Bring foil up around the steaks and spread the sauce over them
- close foil and double fold the edges to seal tightly
- place on grill 4 inch over heat and cook 1 hour turning the packages with tongs several times
- serve with the foil folded back garnished with parsley
