CRUNCHY PEA SALAD Recipe
A different salad that we enjoy when it's hot out. I've added seafood or hard boiled eggs and used it as a main course. Should be chilled for 2 hours

  • Dressing:
  • 1/2 C SOUR CREAM
  • 2 TBSP. WHITE VINEGAR
  • 1 TBSP. MILK
  • 2 TSP. SUGAR
  • 3/4 TSP. SALT
  • 1/8 TSP. GARLIC POWDER
  • 2 10 OZ PACKAGES FROZEN PEAS, THAWED
  • 1 8-OZ CAN SLICED WATER CHESTNUTS
  • 1/4 C SLICED GREEN ONION
  • 3 SLICES COOKED BACON PIECES

Directions
  1. To make dressing combine:
  2. SOUR CREAM, VINEGAR, MILK, SUGAR, SALT AND GARLIC POWDER.
  3. IN A LARGE BOWL, COMBINE PEAS, WATER CHESTNUTS, ONION, AND BACON PIECES. ADD DRESSING, TOSS LIGHTLY TO COAT. COVER AND CHILL.
