How to make it

  • Place chocolate wafers upright around edge of the pie dish or spring pan.
  • Crush the remaining wafers and set aside 1/4 c of for the topping. Melt margarine and mix with crushed wafers.
  • Press wafer/margarine mix into bottom of the pan to form crust. Blend together the cream cheese and the icing sugar.
  • Add the drained crushed pineapple and 3/4 of the tub of Cool Whip. Spread the mixture over the crumb base.
  • Top with remaining cool whip and sprinkle with the reserved wafer crumbs.
  • Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
  • Serves 6.
  • This recipe also freezes well..
